Hardy or hidden black barley
Hardy or hidden black barley is a fungal disease. Symptoms of this disease are that a thin layer of grayish white color covers the stage of ripening barley grains, and because infected clusters are harvested along with healthy clusters, it causes crop loss and increased damage.
Ways of control:
Discontinuation of irrigation at the first signs of the disease and the use of resistant or tolerant cultivars are some of the ways to control this disease.
